About Camber Sands
Camber Sands is famous for its vast size and dune system. It's almost three miles long and more than a mile wide when the tide's out, with a backdrop of tufty dunes.
Camber Sands, located in East Sussex, is unique among the south coast's beaches for its extensive dune system - the only one of its kind in East Sussex. These golden dunes, some reaching several meters in height, create a distinctive desert-like landscape that has been featured in numerous films and television shows. The beach's vast expanse becomes particularly dramatic at low tide, revealing extensive sand flats. The prevailing winds make it a popular spot for wind and kite surfing, while the dune ecosystem supports rare plant and animal species.
